Hello 2021!

Let me start off by saying that BOOOOOY! Does it feel good to have crossed over from the most intense year of our lives!

Seriously, WHAT WAS 2020?

What I thought would be a year of clear vision turned out to be this black hole that just sucked endlessly. So many people lost loved ones, found themselves separated from home and situations turned upside down, then flipped some more.

To anyone reading this, and having experienced whatever kind of pain from 2020 – my heart goes out to you. No amount of “I’m sorry” can ease the holistic strain that you experienced last year, but I hope you know that God is looking out for you, and I trust that this year is going to be a wholesome one.

Which brings me to the warmest welcome I have for 2021 – and to you for reading this post!

Maybe it is a little too earlier to predict how this year is going to turn out, but there are 2 promiment words that I’m looking forward to living by for the next 52 weeks.

HOPE and POTENTIAL.

2020 was intense, and I truly have nothing but Hope that this year will exceed the very low bar that last year set. I know there were a fair amount of good things that happened to a number of us in 2020. Let’s not diminish the goodness that found us among the chaos. In fact, celebrate it! Celebrate the job you managed to secure last year, the blossoming relationship you found yourself in, or the renewed sense of appreciation you have. Whatever victories you experienced in 2020, I hope you celebrate them.

Which brings me to Potential. See, if you could create a little magic last year, if you found yourself rising above some unsavoury circumstances, I hope that this year, you will continue to tap into your true Potential.

Personally, I know I did THE MOST when it came to my flatlay photography work. From my Glamour Magazine feature, to working with some of the biggest brands, I am forever thankful for the expansion I had with flatlays. But my work isn’t over just yet…

Best believe I am tapping into the deeper parts of my Potential to create a year that will blow me away – and my hope for you is that you will try do the same. See, I don’t think you weren’t meant to live a simpler version of yourself. Go ahead and unpack yourself. Explore yourself. Seek the thrills and passions that give you a sense of purpose.

Tap into your true Potential.

Perhaps this is just me speaking from a place that wants nothing but goodness this year, but I’ve given myself the mandate to just go for things. To give life a try this year in order to show me just what I can do if I tapped into my Potential.

So, as I greet 2021 with the warm hug and arms wide open, I hope that this year is going to be fantastic for you. We’re 6 days in; let’s make the rest of 2021 the best one yet!
