How Embracing My Name Grew Me

In my constant pursuit of being a better version of myself than the day before, there comes a time when you see yourself growing so much that you start to shed old layers and embrace the new you.

This is where I am in life, and as I am embracing an elevated version of myself, I’ve found the urge to reinvent myself to match the woman I am becoming. This meant acknowledging the inevitable changes that were coming and being okay with some of those changes growing me into who I can be.

No amount of words can truly express how thankful I am for this platform – I’ve grown into my love for writing and blogging, I’ve developed my passion for photography and I have ultimately discovered how to always rise up when life demanded me to do so. It hasn’t always been easy – but then again, when has life ever truly been easy?

In my previous blog, I remember sharing a post about embracing my name and embodying what it means. For those who don’t know, ‘Khalipha’ means someone who is brave and wise. Am I wise? Every now and then. Am I brave? Well, it’s taken some time for me to get here, but here I am. Which spilled into my personal brand and blog. I made the change to a self-titled blog because I don’t want to represent myself as an alias or behind some other cool-sounding name. I want to represent myself at my most authentic.

This is the second time I’ve rebranded my blog but that’s because, once I turned 25, I felt the need to make this shift of refining who I am. The foundations of who I am are set but it was time to simply repaint the walls and add the pizzazz that I’ve come to love. So, while my blog now looks different, I’ll still be delivering content on Inspiration, Lifestyle and Beauty, with Travel now added to the mix (because biting the Bali bug has changed me forever!). I’m still striving to deliver high quality content (because you totally deserve it!); all while hoping that I am authentic and relatable to you. I’m just doing this with a new flair, a new look, and an elevated me who has embraced her name and dared to rise up to the next level of bravery.
